...fall in love, all over again
For some reason, this picture reminds me of the song "All Over Again" by Johnny Cash. "Every time I look at you I fall in love, all over again..."

No adventures this weekend, except for battling to watch the ND game against Air Force. Thanks to the Mountain West Conference's contract with CSTV, it was the first time since '92 that the Irish weren't on network TV. I guess I can't blame CSTV for using ND to market the new station and force cable companies into a 5-year contract in order to get this game. I wonder if they had this game in mind when they inked the deal with the Mountain West. We gladly paid the 20 bones to watch the game on the internet, although the broadcast left a lot to be desired. On the first play of the game, just as Brady released the ball and the announcer said "...looks to Samardzija," the screen froze! By the time, we clicked over to the radio broadcast, we had already scored in 2 plays and Brady had inched closer on his comeback Heisman victory campaign. As the game went on, we had things covered between CSTV.com, the radio broadcast, and the cbs sportsline gamecast stats. Like the Irish adjusting to the precise option attack of the Air Force cadets, we too had to adjust our gameday strategy...

Whatever it takes.
Sarah wanted to celebrate the victory with a world-class cup of Guatemalan coffee, so after a delicious meal at Quizno's, we headed to the McCafe. That's right, McDonald's. This isn't your daddy's Micky D's. Here, McD's is truly a classy place. It starts when they open the door for you. Flat-screen, plasma TV's adorn the walls, and in the back is a Starbucks-esque cafe (except with better pastries and desserts).

We have parent-teacher conferences this week. Say a prayer.
We will be deep in the jungle of Northern Guatemala next Saturday (with our first visitantes: Kati and Paul!), so we'll be doing the taped-delay routine for the game again. Also, we won't be able to watch the big showdown between Ohio State and Michigan. For the sake of Brady's Heisman hopes, I'm forced to end this entry with some shocking, revolting, repulsive, wicked, wash-your-mouth-out-with-soap words. I will quickly move away from the computer after I type, lest lightning strike me down...
God forgive me... but....
Guh.......
Guhoo......
(clearing my throat... drinking water)
...Go Michigan!
