Congratulations Matt & Deb

Sarah and I were able to fly home last weekend for a grand event.  My cousin Debbie married my longtime friend Matt Schneider on Friday.  As we sat with my family on the left side of the church, Schneid caught my eye and mouthed "you're sitting on the wrong side."  I really should have set a chair in the middle of the aisle for this one...

A beautiful ceremony was held at St. Dennis Church in Lockport, IL and the reception followed at the Morton Arboretum in Lisle.  The festivities reflected the light of this brilliant couple.  Many speeches cited Deb's shining smile/contagious laugh, and Schneid's insatiable thirst for knowledge... and the general soulful nature of both of them.  Congratulations to a truly yellow couple.

Here are a few pics from the weekend.

As we've heard Sarah and my sister Erin lament about fall weddings, Matt and Deb showed us how it's done with a Friday night event.  This schedule allowed us to kill two birds with one flight home, as we headed to South Bend on Saturday morning.  My dad and cousin Daren joined us, and we met Sarah's family on campus for a beautiful day.  The beauty of the day somehow faded during the second half of the game, but it was still a great weekend visiting with friends and family.

God told me things would be much different."

Keeping the faith.
