Lion Pride

Drawing from my experience in athletics, I try to teach my students to behave as a "team" rather than a "class."  This starts with a team name.  The 4th Grade Flyers, then the Falcons.  In Guatemala it was the 5th Grade Rockets, and now it's a return to Catholic Education with the 4th Grade Lions.

Unifying the students and fostering this team environment has been greatly aided with team t-shirts.  I wanted to post this entry as a thank you to my dad for paying for the shirts every year.  This video below shows the students' reaction upon discovering their cool new shirts.  I have to think this is what the ND locker room looked like in '77 when they returned from warm-ups to discover new green jerseys.

Also, a special thanks to Denise and Charlie in L.A. for another quality job on the shirts.

dawg- Kudos to your old man. What a great thing to do for his son and the class every year... wow, i had no idea.

BUT, what up with the lions looking so much like the PATHETIC team we like to call "the motor city kitties."

Dude, as a member of the black and blue division your whole childhood... i would think you wouldn't have done that to the little angels...

How about the Vikings? The Bears, Empacadores... no thanks... but....

Still great pictures. Touch the towel for me if you get a chance.
