A Thousand Thanks
As you know, we ambitiously loaded our classroom "wish list" last year. The response was overwhelming! Almost $5,000 worth of donations came in! This not only provided an incredible amount of new resources for our students, but also gave their teachers a huge dose of motivation.
While we are so grateful for all donations of all sizes, we must highlight one person in particular. Our dear friend Jason Brown donated a major chunk of the above number. Last December, I almost fell out of my chair after opening his Visa gift card.
I met Jason in MBA school at Notre Dame, and his impact on my life simply cannot be overstated. His incredibly disciplined and focused faith; passion for the transcendent nature of simple, every-day events; and well-rounded knowledge and interests have helped shape our own journey in so many ways. Jason is currently a brilliant Houston oil and gas financier/engineer by day and a talented singer/songwriter by night. On that note, he is currently dominating Nashville while recording his third album. We highly recommend checking out his music here. Also, many of you know him as "that guy" whose live performance perfected our special first-dance moment. (Incidentally, yours truly is mentioned on the back of his 2nd album, so let me know if you'd like me to autograph it for you.)

To sum up, every time I fill up my car, I think of my classroom LCD projector mounted on the ceiling (and Jason's generosity, of course!) and thank God.
And make no mistake, we thank God for all those who supported our efforts in 2007-08. We were so touched by your generosity.
A thousand thanks also goes to:
Chet & Carolyn Miller
Glen & Marcia O'Connor
Rosemary O'Connor
George & Vi Hoffman
Dorene O'Connor
Dennis & Sue Ann O'Connor
Paul & Kati Rothgery
Chuck & Roberta Pope
Shawn & Julia Lee
Matt & Megan Reichert
