Do you know who this woman is?

Her name is Melanne Verveer, and she is America's new international "Abortion Czar."  That's right.  Melanne's newly appointed role will include pushing this administration's evil/extremist views on child killing to foreign countries - especially third-world countries in need of U.S. aid.  

In a late Friday (June 12) afternoon ceremony - always a strategy to induce minimal media coverage - Hillary Clinton swore in Verveer as America's new Ambassador for "Global Women's Issues."  Sounds fairly benign, but everybody knows what that really means.  

On June 12, the House of Representatives pushed through Obama's bill establishing the "Office for Global Women's Issues."  Rep. Chris Smith (NJ) proposed an amendment to this bill which would have kept the new office "abortion neutral" while allowing it to promote only legitimate women's interests.  Of course House Democrats prevented the amendment from even reaching a vote, because well, promoting international child killing is the whole point of establishing the office in the first place!

In a Foreign Affairs Committee hearing on April 22, Hillary admitted, "We are now an administration that will protect the rights of women, including their rights to reproductive health care."  As if we needed clarification on her definition of that phrase, Clinton confirmed that "reproductive health care includes access to abortion."

The admission is as shocking as it is ironic.  The United Nations has long been engaged in heated debate over the term "reproductive health."  At the 1994 International Conference on Population and Development in Cairo, the inclusion of the term was only agreed to with the understanding that it did NOT include the right to abortion.  Furthermore, the Cairo document explicitly prohibits abortion from being promoted as a method of family planning.  Clinton now openly admits that the Obama Administration is breaking from the Cairo Program for Action, which was negotiated by none other than her husband!

The establishment of this office and appointment of long-time murder advocate Melanne Verveer as America's Abortion Ambassador is yet another example in Obama's mind-boggling list of pro-child-killing actions.  Self-professed pro-lifers who continue to be mesmerized by Obama's empty rhetoric about looking for "common ground" are running out of excuses for their ignorance.  Tough words, I know.   But our President adds to his resume on almost a daily basis... a resume that further cements him as the most pro-abortion leader the world has ever seen.  It's time for "pro-life" Obama supporters (especially Catholics) to wake up to this fact and start attempting to explain their moral calculations.  What more could be at stake?
