Earning his keep!
Today was a beautiful day in Denver. Ryan and I are both getting a little tired of the 80-90 degree heat and are ready for "fall." We want jeans and cozy sweatshirts, chili, and hot chocolate on a chilly evening. The thing about Denver is that the sun shows itself over 300 days a year, so even if it is below freezing overnight and quite chilly in the morning and evening, the afternoons can be lovely at a balmy/sunny 40 or 50 degrees. It's amazing!

However, that is not the true topic of my blog. Because today was such a nice day we took the chance and washed my car.
** Sidenote: It's black which is not a "sensible" car color. Ryan thinks that is why you never see black minivans. People who buy minivans realize that their "reasonable" vehicle choice would be compromised by choosing a color that shows dirt so easily.
John Paul is finally starting to earn his keep around the O'Connor house. He was really excited to get to help with the washing. It involved many of his favorite things: a bucket full of sudsy water (much like a bath), a hose, and the outdoors.
Here are some pictures of my men in action. Next I would like John Paul to learn how to fold laundry or scrub toilets, we'll see how long that takes!
Splashing in the bucket.
Standing in "the line of fire." He ran toward the hose!
Getting right in there to help Daddy. He was rubbing his
hands all over the car to "wash" so.....
we gave him a rag! He thought it was amazing!
